Taxi Driver
Directed by Martin Scorsese in 1976. Set in New York closely after the Vietnam War. Taxi Driver is one of Scorsese's landmark films. i wanted to watch a Scorsese film during this module because he tends to direct with a editors point of view as that was what he did before directing. I love taxi driver, it is a great film. what i really like about it is the slow spanning scenes, nowadays there is tendency to jump from shot to shot in quick concession, to keep the viewer occupied. i was told that it is the 3 second rule nowadays, people cant stay concentrated for longer than that and editors use quick jump shots to keep attention of the viewers.
